Story behind the piece:
This is just a bit of fun, but if anyone wants the score (free pdf file) here it is.
The conductor of our choir asked me to do an arrangement of the 1950s song Green Door, but my first approach was too complex in its chord sequences, so I went back to the original chords for the choir. That first version remained in my mind, however, so I created this instrumental swing piece from it, removing the original Green Door tune (although you can probably sing the tune along with it if you like) and providing a burbly jazzy line in the soprano saxophone instead.
